It is not necessary to constantly connect the skimmer. The skimmer should be connected and running whenever the pool is in use or when there is debris in the water that needs to be removed. In Unity, scripts cannot be added as components directly because scripts are not visual or physical objects that can be placed in the game world. Instead, scripts are used to define the behavior and functionality of game objects and components. To add functionality to game objects, you can attach scripts to them as components, which allows you to define how the game object should behave and interact with other game objects in the scene. This separation of scripts and components allows for better organization and modularity in game development. **
